We Will Remain Open – Critical Infrastructure
AWI Manufacturing will remain open during the state mandated stay at home order that goes into effect in Minnesota on Friday 3/27/2020 at 11:59 pm through Friday 4/10/2020.
AWI Designation As Critical Infrastructure Supplier
AWI Manufacturing provides essential support to food, agricultural, and beverage producers and is therefore exempt from any shelter-in-place orders. We plan to continue to operate during any state-mandated shutdowns to non-essential business. While doing so the safety and health of our staff and clients remains our biggest priority and we will continue to follow all of the CDC guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21) designates the food and agriculture sector as a critical infrastructure sector whose assets, systems, and networks are considered so vital that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health, or safety.
On March 19, 2020, CISA listed ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE to help State and Local officials as they work to protect their communities, while ensuring continuity of functions critical to public health and safety, as well as economic and national security. This list includes “Food manufacturer employees and their supplier employees.” The complete list is available at https://www.cisa.gov/identifying-critical-infrastructure-during-covid-19. The list is explicitly designed to inform critical infrastructure community decision-making to determine the sectors, sub- sectors, segments, or critical functions that should continue normal operations, appropriately modified to account for Centers for Disease Control (CDC) workforce and customer protection guidance.
The President’s Coronavirus Guidance published on March 16, 2020 and CISA’s guidance of March 19 instructs employees of Critical Infrastructure Industries, such as the food and agriculture sector, to maintain normal work patterns during the global coronavirus outbreak.

We are open and operating with normal hours. We are monitoring the situation and will let you know ASAP of any schedule changes.
In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our clients and staff is our main priority.
We have worked extensively to implement steps to reduce the chance of transmission through new cleaning and sanitizing schedules, social distancing, moving staff to remote work if possible and making changes to our break and lunch schedules.
We want to assure you that we are experiencing no disruptions of our services at this time. If that changes we will let you know ASAP. We are excited that we were able to come together as a team and implement strategies that allow us to stay connected from anywhere. This will allow us to provide the same level of support you have always come to expect from AWI Manufacturing.
